SMS Terms
Last updated 4 November 2026
These cover the text messages we send. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and are published separately because mobile carriers require a messaging programme to have its own terms.
The programmes
Pipi Reviews Sign-In Codes. A one-time code, sent because you asked for it:
- to sign in, when you enter your number on the dashboard sign-in page;
- when your shop is set up: our operator, standing with you, sends one to the number you give them and you share it back. That text says that sharing it accepts our Terms and texts about your shop's account;
- when you set your devices up yourself at pipireviews.com/setup: sent to the number you type there, and typing it back on that page is sharing it. It is the same text, and says the same;
- a new set-up key, when a device's label is lost and you ask for one to be texted to your number;
- to confirm a change you make to your account, such as a new number or a shop you are adding.
One message per request. A code to sign in or to confirm a change brings nothing else.
Pipi Reviews Account Alerts. Texts about your own shop's account: a request you made, a visit we have booked, a payment that did not go through, devices paused, a receipt, your agreement, a code to approve a change. On once you share your set-up code, or turn them on in your dashboard; off whenever you turn them off there, or reply STOP. Either way, all of this is emailed to the address on your shop.
How often
Codes: only when you ask, so it is up to you; most owners see one or two in a month. Account alerts: usually 1 to 4 a month.
What it costs
We do not charge for messages. Message and data rates may apply — your carrier's rates are between you and them.
How you opt in
To codes: by asking for one — on the sign-in page, by giving your number to our operator when your shop is set up, by typing it on the set-up page when you set your devices up yourself, or by asking for a new set-up key. The sign-in page and the set-up screen both say so and point here, and we record the date, the time and which version of the wording you were shown.
To account alerts: by sharing the code we text you when your shop is set up. Before our operator sends it, their app shows them these words to read to you, and the text itself says so: "Sharing it accepts our terms and texts about your shop." Setting your devices up yourself, the text says the same, and you type it back on the set-up page. Or by turning them on under Notifications in your dashboard, which shows these words beside the button. We record each yes and no, and when, and which wording you were given.
A number typed by an operator is not an opt-in by itself. It receives the one code you are standing there to share, and nothing more unless you share it.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and we stop texting you: every account alert stops, and you will get one confirmation and nothing after it.
A code you ask for is still sent. When you ask us for a code to prove your number — to set up a shop, sign in, add a shop or confirm a change — we send it even if this number replied STOP before, because asking for it is the request, the way any service sends the code you ask for when you sign up. If it does not arrive, your carrier is still holding the STOP: reply START to any of our messages, and ask again.
After a STOP, account alerts stay off until you turn them on in your dashboard, or share a new set-up code. To stop only the alerts, turn them off under Notifications in your dashboard. Either way the account carries on: your dashboard link keeps working, the emails keep coming, and you can sign in by email.
You can also tell us another way: write to support@pipireviews.com, or tell the person from Pipi Reviews who looks after your shop. We turn account alerts off for your shop's number within ten business days, and they stay off until you turn them on again in your dashboard.

Changes
If this changes materially we will say so here and date it. The date at the top is the only version that counts.
